I’m not sure of the rules using this term. And, when you do use it, can you use the letter N to abbreviate it? I’m in my first organic chemistry class, so any illumination on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I am a visual and analytical person and supposedly math isn’t used that much like in General Chemistry nor Inorganic Chemistry. Some people tell me is the easiest class of all the Chemistry classes and other tells me is the worst.

I am not a numerical person and I have had trouble with the past classes Chem classes but I passed them.

Being a visual person do you think is going to be better for me?
Could you tell me something I don’t know lol?

Have you taken the class? Was it easy for you as a person not so good at math?

There is no flow in my class from topic to topic and I fall asleep out of lack of understanding or comprehension of the subject. How can I develop more interest, understanding, stay awake and get a good grade. I really need this biochemistry class. Organic Chemistry is a part of the Biochemistry.

lovslinky asked:

I don’t understand the difference between alpha and beta. Also, what is the difference between the L and D carbohydrates? The “D’s” have OH on the right, correct?

When I draw from fisher to haworth, how do I know if OH goes up or down in the haworth?

If anyone knows this, thank you so much!

I’m hoping to teach, and write a textbook, and I’d love to do both in new ways. What stuff in your organic textbook was completely useless? What was really confusing? Just give any opinion you got. Best Answer will go to the most insightful.
