Oh no, I did not like regular chemistry either, and I hate O chem even more. I might have to drop it and re-take it when I’m better prepared.
The question is, “A student left some alkyl halides (RCl and RBr) in an open container for several minutes. What happened to the composition of the halide mixture during that time?” Not quite sure how to figure this one out…any help will be greatly appreciated!
I need a chemical reaction by which I can convert lactate to an hexose.
I need a mechanism for converting lactate to any other hexose than glucose. (at the most one or two step reaction.)
… or both? What’s your opinion/experience?
ETA: I’m not trying to become a biochemist. I’m just taking biochem I (not planning on taking the second half).
