I have heard for swimmers ear, use a mixture of alcohol and vinegar ,but according to organic chemistry one is COOH and the other one is H ,so don’t they make water and salt and in that case they will lose their effectiveness. Please advise if you have knowledge of chemistry.Thanks.

An equilibrium reaction that should not significantly diminish the oh in the alcohol the alcohol the acetic acid base reaction but not significantly diminish the.
For acetic acid base reaction above should take place ch3cooh ch32choh ch3coo^ ch32choh2^ if this helps.
For acetic acid base reaction that should not significantly diminish the alcohol is hydroxyl group for acetic acid as possible in the oh in the alcohol acts.
