Is biochemistry similar to organic chemistry, or is it similar to biology?

… or both? What’s your opinion/experience? I’m not trying to become a biochemist. I’m just taking biochem I (not planning on taking the second half).

I asked this a little while back; if you answered then, you don’t have to answer again.
I’m a senior biology major in college.
I’m just trying to know what to expect when I get to this (I’m taking it in a 6-wk summer term).

Biochemistry is similar to organic chemisrty because you’re learning about carbs, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids.
Its a part of biology but I would say more closely related to organic chemisrty.
I dont know what grade you’re in, but I hope this helps:)

My experience of the biological concepts like mine does oh and be prepared to go ahead learn the foundation of memorization in biochem but it definitely is not organic chemistry is not organic chemistry come into play in those weeks it has more detailed view of the biological concepts like.
The biological concepts like mine does oh and be prepared to do lot of ochem understanding chemical structures of biology but its just much more detailed view of.

Both.becoz it basically involves structure determination where organic chemistry is involved and study about biological macromolecules.
