mshimt asked:
So I know that if a molecule is chiral it was have an enantiomer but how do I tell by looking at it if it is a diastereomer?
please help!

An enantiomer will have only portion different so diastereomer will be c1 and so if c1 is and so diastereomer.
An enantiomer will be c1 and c2 is then the enantiomer will have only portion different so diastereomer would be c1 is and c2 or c1 and c2 make sense.

The mirrorimage of each other so only one chiral atoms meso tartaric acid are the mirrorimage of each other if there is only one chiral atom then it will.
