It has 4 carbons, 4 oxygens, 3 hydrogens, 1 potassium (or sodium), and it has double bond. Does anyone know the name (common &/or IUPAC) of this structure?

you know there are lots of possibilities right?? It depends on were the double bond is and the arrangement of the other elements around the carbon chain… Let me know some more detail might be able to help.

I think it is likely that there is a COOH group and there is a 3-carbon backbone with a 1-carbon branch tho… Still the name depends on the specific location of the elements.
