Notable Work

Darth vAIder (1 of 5), 2023, mixed media

Darth Vader is a powerful symbol of technology and its potential for both good and evil. The character represents the pinnacle of technological advancement in the Star Wars universe, but also embodies the dangers of unchecked power and the corrupting influence of technology on the human spirit.

On the other hand, the WordArt overlay serves as a reminder of the human element behind even the most advanced forms of technology. By incorporating this kitschy, dated visual language into the piece, the artist draws attention to the fact that all technology is ultimately created and controlled by humans, and is therefore subject to the same flaws and limitations as we are. GretAI (1 of 5), 2023, mixed media

In this artwork featuring Greta Thunberg as the Girl with the Pearl Earring, the spray-painted phrase “How dare you” serves as a commentary on the contentiousness of contemporary art production. While its allusion to Thunberg’s famous statement imbues the piece with a sense of political urgency, the painting itself is a self-referential nod to the art world’s ever-evolving relationship with technology.

In doing so, the piece raises questions about the role of creativity and the nature of artistic expression in an age of increasing technological reliance. Ultimately, this artwork’s significance lies not in its reference to environmentalism, but in its assertion that art cannot be reduced to a mere product of artificial intelligence.

In turn, ironically and with a sense dark poetry, establishing a work of art on itself. (SOLD)
